paints each image onto a canvas of glass with a textured paint that creates a luminescent effect similar to that of fine stained glass; however, her works are not constrained by the harsh lead outlines that frequently confine and break up stained-glass imagery. By building textures through a delicate teasing of the thick paint, a lush dimensional quality is created. Light dances off the surface of each painting and a 3-D quality is achieved.

After receiving her BFA in Illustration from the acclaimed California Art School of CSULB in 1982, Hilary Sylvester worked as a professional artist for over 10 years before creating Baruch Designs. Inspired by the Jewish imagery of her heritage, she expresses her passion for Jewish themes in these beautiful works of art.
