Hilary Sylvester was born in Los Angeles California and received her BFA in Illustration from the acclaimed California Art School of CSULB in 1982.

She worked as a professional artist for 10 years before creating her own Judaic gift line called Baruch Designs.  Hilary's work has been featured in many museum gift shops and gift galleries throughout the country and overseas.

In 2002, Hilary decided to follow her heart and now only works on her Biblically inspired fine art paintings. Moved by the Jewish imagery of her heritage, she expresses her passion for Jewish themes in these lyrical works of art. She signs each painting with the word "Baruch" which means Blessed.

Hilary paints on a framed canvas of glass with a textured acrylic paint. When it combines with light, be it natural or gallery quality, her imagery becomes infused with vibrant energy.

Hilary's award winning paintings have been featured at many art galleries, fine art venues and are included in many private collections locally and throughout the United States and Canada.
